The design I have settled on is something very personal to me, and quite symbolic - not only in the artistry, but the meaning.
Can you share what that is then, as I don't understand what people mean when they say this about tattoos ...The design is biomechanical, sort of to represent the rebuilding of me, and incorporates engine and mountain bike parts. I've been wanting a tattoo for many years, but never wanted anything traditional or faddy like tribal designs, and I love the style of Chicano art, despite the origins of it from Latin American prisoners!
I've submittef the reference images, and booked in with Elle Gottzi https://www.instagram.com/fehuink/ next week.

I went through a traumatic event 21 years ago, long story short, attempted murder, 3 months in hospital, 9 months off work, multiple surgeries resulting in a lot of metal plates in my face and head.

Could biomechanical be seen as the new Tribal band fad?The design is biomechanical, sort of to represent the rebuilding of me, and incorporates engine and mountain bike parts. some of that is brilliantly done - I do admire the artwork even if I would never have one doneFirst 7 hrs done with Elle Gottzi at Redemption Tattoo in Sheffield on my arm. I'm waiting for the images to be sent across as my battery died this afternoon.
Nowhere near as painful as I had thought, although the inside of my arm was very tender by the end of the session. It's wrapped up, and feels like mild sunburn.
Another 8 hours on shoulder and chest tomorrow.

Just arrived for final two hours before Elle goes back to her own studio.
Feeling calm.and prepared. I didn't expect the chest to hurt so much after all the prior work, but maybe it was just because it was a monstrously long sitting.

Done... 3hrs, so a little longer, but Elle is a perfectionist.

Love the biomech one!
Just come back from holiday in Greece and I think I've decided to mirror image mine to my left arm/chest/shoulder with some images of Athena, the Titanomachy and Hercules in a lion pelt. This will make the whole thing wrap around my shoulders like a kind of armour plate. This comes a few months after I swore off any more work on my chest because of the pain... turns out it's easily forgotten

It was the centre of my chest that I tapped out on Tuesday with. Such a sensitive area, but it was at the end of a very long day. I certainly won't be getting any more done in that area!I swore off any more work on my chest because of the pain... turns out it's easily forgotten
