Dear me most certainly not ever because:

I'm not an old sea salt.
I'm not a Traveller.
I don't self-harm.
I don't have deep-seated insecurities about my body.
I'm not so weak as to need to comply with silly fashion.
I'm have a strong enough independent personality not to depend on peer group approbation.
I'm sensible enough to know that many many years ahead tattoos are going to look SO old fashioned.
I have actually worked out that should I need to remove a tattoo it may prove impossible or at best leave horrible scars.
I'm not overweight, smoke like a chimney or proud to be working class, characteristics that I have always associated those who have tattoos.

A quick look at your comment history sums it up - miserable sod.

There must be SOMETHING that connects folk who have tattoos. Most trends, style, mode, looks, fashion, attract similar people. Birds of a feather and all that.

That's up there with one of the nicest pieces I've seen.
Thank you, it's in memory of my dad who died 5 years ago.

Ironically he hated tattoo's!

Dear me. Do people really go through life like this? Blows my mind.

You mean normal people if so then yep.

But I will add.

No SM
No MSM
No TV
Know how to use a phone without annoying others by using it on speaker phone put it to your ear or use earphones.
Do not watch 30 second Youtube clips in public on speaker phone I understand that you have a attention span of a fish but please keep it to yourself/

All the above is called common sense sadly lacking in society today.
We are an odd bunch but are content with life

And, lo, a mere 9 months or so later, over 3 and a half sessions, I have a finished bit of leg.

Video on the tattooist's insta account... https://www.instagram.com/p/B5OVd_NBVBv/

Background colours were done on Saturday, so that's all a bit raw and scruffy in the pictures. Once it's all settled down in a few weeks I might take another couple of photos.

Not everyone's cup of tea, granted, but fortunately I like it smile
That is a really different style, very impressed.

I’m not into tattoos so not sure if it’s common place now or anything but I’ve never seen anything like that. I can appreciate some of the artwork I’ve seen but something like that stands out to me as impressive work just for the artist doing something different.

I hate to break it to you but this outlook is not "normal".

Normal people are having a lovely time, living and letting live, and generally not letting things get to them too much.

"Normal" doesn't have to include having a tattoo, but it should probably include not minding if other people have them.

I know after years on this thread that I shouldn't rise to stposts like this but, as I said, it still blows my mind that people go through life like this - it must be absolutely wretched.

I would argue that defining 'normal' at such a basic level is nominally difficult. You even put the word in quotation marks. I would say that most have their own interpretation of that state of mind. Strong opinions are the norm for some folk, but not for others. It is a question of balance. Rationality can be a hard thing to pin down.scratchchin

Love this! Did the artist design it or was it a piece you found? If they designed what was their brief?

He'd done something similar for one of his flash sheets, when I enquired it had already been spoken for, but he drew this one up for me. Kinda random, I just really liked the idea behind it smile

Been looking at Tom Petuccio - very tempted to get a piece by him when he’s at 6 bully’s later this year.

Sleeve is the answer, but don't assume it has to be one continuous image
