Do you have a tattoo?

One day somebody will ask why you have a set of anal beads inked on your arm. Take the time between now and then to make sure you have a good answer.
And i'm sitting here a week after the first of 6 sessions thinking it would be difficult to explain the portrait of a random girl on my arm! (The missus most definitely isn't happy)

The centre line would be far thinner in reality, but am unsure if it looks any good, or if some of you folks have an idea that may be better, or some ideas for this design. For example, I'm not sure if I should have the line running through the planets, or just from planet to planet, so to speak, like this;

@ Heretic, just quoted a little bit of your post, one word of advice, be sure your tattoo artist is confident in doing arrow straight lines as per your drawing. Quite a few artists don't like doing straight lines as they're actually difficult to do. I remember when I was getting mine done, a lady came in, turns out she was a burlesque dancer and wanted "seams" tattoo'd up the back of her legs, like seamed stockings. There were 4 artists, all 4 of them said no on the grounds that such a long straight line is difficult and it'll be obvious. Yours are shorter, but still very straight so if you haven't done so, just add it to the list of questions you'd normally ask your tattooist.
Thanks for the advice. I have to go and speak to the chap anyway, (he is pretty good and seems to specialist on 'photo realistic' stuff. The one he did for my bro was good.) Anyway, I might not do the lines, as they are apparently 'anal beadish'! So I am edging towards the original Pioneer version in pic one. It would be a good balance, maybe... Both tattoos being historical, so to speak? Edited by TheHeretic on Wednesday 20th February 22:47

Well, all they have to do is follow the lines on the transfer stuff, but ho hum. Stuck in 2 minds at the moment. Like the historical aspect on the pioneer plaque, but wouldn't mind something a little more abstract. Simblade said:
8 hours chair time booked for tomorrow! 4 on each arm. Finally getting sorted a bad tribal tattoo I got at 16 years old and getting a half Japanese sleeve started on the other shoulder/arm. Excited now! I'll try and post pic's if I can raise either arm to take the pic
Using this as inspiration for the Jap sleeve:
Jeez thats a long time to be sitting. I feel fine while its being done but its the walk back to the car where I feel hot/cold shakey for a while. Using this as inspiration for the Jap sleeve:
How did it go?
I've just had my third done Sunday just gone in memory of my dog who we had to have put to sleep last week
Love it, although the colour wasnt going in very well so she went over it a few times (with my approval) so I hopefully dont have to go back and have it touched up anytime soon.

I was thinking this too, but couldn't think of way of expressing it in a way that would be nice.So, in the nicest possible way, who did you get this done by? Because it's awful. It's probably saveable if you add some more to it, but it's entirely out of proportion, the ring around the top is so wonky I wonder if it was done during an earthquake, and the colour is so over the top I fear it may stain your clothes for years to come.
I'm really sorry, I know it's of your dog who you loved, and it's a lovely sentiment, and you love the tattoo because of that, but I honestly hope you can get it fixed by someone who knows what they're doing.
