cheers man, it was a flash piece done at the tattoo convention at alexandra palace, saw it, liked it, got it on back of my shoulder for £120ish by a chap from Hungary.
highly recommend getting tattooed at a convention, its a totally different experience to getting something done at a shop.
Yeah I did a day in the chair at the Tattoo tea party Manchester 2015, I did enjoy it, but wouldn't do a full day again unless it was an artist I was really desperate to get work from and was the only way to get it. I would do a small walk up thoughhighly recommend getting tattooed at a convention, its a totally different experience to getting something done at a shop.
As mentioned above, on 23rd December Rach and I got complementary tattoos from Brent Goudie at Carousel Tattoo. Here’s mine:
And here’s hers:
Brent is a grumpy misanthrope. He left me lying for about 35-40 minutes with a stencil on, while he had three vape breaks and played about trying to make his photos look good on instagram in the meantime. He was bullish and passionate about his own work. He freely admitted that he likes to work fast and deep with the machine “turned up as high as it will go”. It hurt A LOT.
Had he not been such a fking brilliantly talented artist this would have been intolerable... but luckily he was. If you like cartoony tattoos I’d 100% recommend him.

Just had 5 hours with Clara at her new shop, The Family Business. I've decided to expand my existing piece to include an Athena on the left hand side of my back.
I feel a little flat about it at the moment because it sort of sits on its own - we ran out of time to join it to the existing one. I've got another session booked on 11th February where it should all come together and look superb, a sort of S-shaped tapestry coming all the way from my left shoulder around my right shoulder and down my right arm.
Decided to keep my left arm for a Piotrek Dedel steampunk scene, if he ever responds to my emails.

Weirdly pages 261 and 262 seem to have disappeared from this thread...
Are you sure ?I'm using pages double your size and last posts on p130 was 4th January....
I can't see any gaping holes in the thread.
I'll send Haymarket my invoice.

That looks great! When my arm was finished, it was bitter sweet. I was glad that it was complete, but I wanted it to carry on.I've decided this last week to get my other arm done this year. I paid a visit to the artist who's done my left arm and things are in motion to start in a couple of months...
Four more hours done with Clara and I think that's me done for now. Pics to follow when the redness has gone down - my skin took umbrage at its treatment today for some reason. 34 in total now to cover the whole of the top of my back, right shoulder, right arm and right chest.
Had a truly lovely time chatting away and listening to Fleetwood Mac. Great atmosphere now she's moved to The Family Business. If you like her style of work, can stomach £100ph, and can find a slot in her diary I would 100% recommend you book some time with her.
It can't be a coincidence that her work heals in 3-4 days where the colour piece I had done by another artist (above) took 3-4 weeks.
