Ah yes I remember now, two years was a long time ago!

Sounds good, this year?

I have no tattoos and never will. A very small number number look good but in the main either detract from what is already an attractive body or fail to adorn what is already unattractive. There are doubtless some very talented tattoo artists and great designs but that doesn’t change the foregoing.
In your opinion off course.
Perhaps the only opinion above is yours.

Why are so many tattoos skulls, roses, thorns, barbed wire, crucifixes and so on? Life isn’t that gothic. Get one of something nice like the Alps or your dog. Maybe even your new phone or car.

You're obviously not cool enough wink I have a decent sized piece by Math. Not sure if the trash polka style is your thing but he's done a slightly different take on a sound wave tattoo: https://www.instagram.com/p/BD-Kd-xQ6tP/
Love that! cool

Over my many years, and the years historically previous, to m my knowledge a Skull, Rose, Thorn, Barbed Wire or Crucifix haven’t much changed. Quite classic unmistakable shapes. My phone and car however...

Isn’t that Japanese back piece a sleeve or piece of clothing? It appears to have seams at the collar and bottom edge.
I think it is real, the top seams are fine lines, at the bottom a part of the wearer´s underpants is visble.

I have never seen such intricate work, and would like to see if the artist just got the right depth,

to ink the layer of skin that does not grow, move or distort much over time, would be a shame to blur the lines into a black blob.

Only time can tell, would be interesting to know how old the inkwork is at the time the photo was taken,

and how many hours this piece took in the studio.

We had a skull and rose themed wedding, hence my skull and rose tattoo; 2 skulls (myself and the wife) and the roses, my next tattoo will be in memory of my dad who was a religious man (I'm not), hence why I want a crucifix in there somewhere (well most likely a representation of one as opposed to an actual crucifix), roses were his favourite flower so there will likely be one or 2 in there too.

If you click on the Instagram link, the details are under each picture. She typically does a full arm sleeve in 3 days, often consecutive.
I reckon I could handle that, but a 3 day chest piece - not a chance without general anaesthesia!

For those of you who follow the tattoo scene, any recommendations for a uk based artist sho could design and ink something along these lines (pardon the pun):

http://lisaorth.com/tattoos.html

I want either a half sleeve or full sleeve, completely encircling around the my arm. Woodcut linework only. I might consider travelling to LA to have this done by the artist linked, but wondered who else there is who is more easily accessible.

Popped down earlier to get it done, but he wasn't happy with how it was turning out on paperwork. He tried for 90 minutes with different ideas, but he wasn't 100% happy with them. Had a look at some other ideas, scripts of the lyrics or a possible portrait.

Back to the drawing board.

Despite talking trash polka on the previous page, most of mine are this style. Thumbsnap not working atm so can't upload photos but here's a link to my first ever by Dan Morris. It's on flickr which will give you an idea of how long ago it was! https://www.flickr.com/photos/danmorristattoo/9650...

For big lines try https://www.instagram.com/p/BsBkYFWDDit/ His more recent stuff is colour, but his earlier stuff if more like your link - some would say a couple of her pieces are 'inspired by' Kola...

In no particular order, mostly UK, some western europe:

Add Matt Stopps at the Family Business to this list. Great artist and a fantastic studio. Not cheap though.

Thanks for the suggestions and links, much appreciated.

How much do you reckon for a full sleeve of that quality, and the hours required? All those would mean jumping on a plane for me so i’d need it done in one hit (guess easier as there is no colour filling). Price is far less important than quality but good to know the ballpark.

Ps - so much for ‘just the one’ tattoo....
