But it asked the question "Do you have a tattoo?" so I gave an answer! if it was "Show your tattoo to like minded people!", I could understand, but...

Hilarious.
Have you thought of a career writing comedy? Maybe for the BBC?

I've had a few hours done today, was meant to be a full day but my skin just bleeding too much! So we called time, going to let it recover and go again hopefully soon.
Anyone else had it bleed too much and what have you done to combat it?
Not with bleeding but sometimes with pain. I can sit for hours and not feel any, then another time I want out after ten minutes! I think it depends on what I’ve eaten / drank. Maybe the same for the bleeding? Had you taken any Aspirin for example? Certain medications that thin the blood perhaps or food/drink/herbs or vitamins etc? Berries, Tomatoes, Ginger for example are blood thinners along with loads of other foods.

I’m back in on Wednesday bounce

It probably depends on location as well. Thin skinned areas etc

Anyone else think it's worth re-naming the title of the thread to "Show us your tattoos" so that door closes for posts like the above?

I suspect alcohol is responsible for a high percentage of tats.

Maybe I'll have a few days off the beer before next time.

Exactly. If all the pubs closed tomorrow, the tattoo and piercing joints would be bust by Tuesday. smile

I don’t agree - I ve never met a tattooist who would tattoo a drunk person and to be honest you usually need to book weeks or months in advance. I did a long sitting in Bulgaria once - 9 hours over 2 days and the place was next to a bar so I just drank the whole time - but I bled like hell all the way through

I had a scaffold piercing and a nipple ring pulled out by a drunk person once. Not a laughing experience. My ear is scarred if you look very closely. Nipple is thankfully fine and intact.

I think that's bks.

It may be true for cheap walk-in type places in certain locations, but otherwise?

Nah, don't agree with that at all.

Ouch ouch ouch. I had a few moments with mine, but not pulled out. Jesus... bet that was agony.

Had mine about a year, before I gave up on it.

Also lost an upper cartridge piercing riding my MTB along the river, caught on an overhanging bramble and torn out. Scaffold was ripped out of one hole leaving a tear, healed back together but is a scar if you look closely.

I have my nape pierced with a flexible bar. Freaks the hell out of my hairdresser. But never had any issues with it.

Three and a half hours this afternoon on my leg. Still wrapped so no pics yet but pretty much finished. Have a session booked beginning of June for touch ups etc and will start adding to my left hand I think.

Used the Tattoo Numbing Cream for first time today just around my ankle as an experiment. Applied an hour and a half before starting, wrapped in cling film. Absolute revelation! This area was outlined a few weeks back and the most painful ever. Today didn’t feel a thing!! Was actually very strange. Only thing I can liken it to is when I had an injected local anaesthetic for a minor op on my finger. Had around an hour in that area and was still numb.

I’d imagine for a dull day or anything more than three hours it would require reapplying. Going to give it another go on the 25th of this month as have a full day booked for new piece.
