Horizontally it's fine; vertically it's a bit dodgy, mind.

Everytime you post or reply they appear just below the icons, it is also advisable to read these in conjunction with the sites T&C's.

As with any rules and regs there will always be grey area's, and that's normally where the mods or HM get involved.

I was in WH Smiths at the weekend and noted a magazine called HOBBY'S in the general/hobby section.

I haven't looked into this (there is probably an explanation I guess..) but it just looked so wrong!
The company is WH Smith. Why do people always put an 's' on the end of a company's name? The other day one of my female collages said she bought something from Etams. No, you bought something from Etam.
Smiths, Etams, Tescos, Safeways. Just something people do I guess.
Why in shops do they say "Put your PIN number in", or why did we used to talk aboot "PCB boards".

Why do shop assistants say "Have a nice day", when the really mean "F&^k off"

Probably the same reason why call centre workers say "thankyou" or "thanks for your call" when; by phoning, you have just interrupted whatever they were doing or disturbed them if they were generally doing nothing.

That is an iPhone auto correct.

Turns out, I say hell way more than I say he'll.
There is no requirement for anyone to accept auto-correct. Blind reliance on a machine's opinion is, if anything, worse than a genuine mistake.

The iphone 'auto-correct' is particularly irksome though.
It forces you to proof read and correct everything you type even though you've not made a mistake!

yes

It can often be brilliant, but sometimes very frustrating. The 'hell'/'he'll' one is my major bugbear too. My OH's changes 'me' to 'mr' every time she writes it.

Haha - I just looked up this thread to paste that. What is it that makes so many people think that looks correct? Or should it be "look's correct"!

I think they are working on the principle that, if there is an s at the end, and if in doubt, then use an apostrophe. I'm sure it doesn't occur to them that they are doing anything wrong, or that they should think about it, or, even, learn the rule.
