Just watched (well tried to anyway) Comedians of the World on Netflix. Awful.
most world comedy is total gash. Those comedy central stand-up things, montreal comedy festival etc are just so so so bad.

Agreed. Humour for people who have a bland sense of humour

I hate this thread. Every time I see it, I get that screeching Sarah Millican in my head.

Utterly hateful, as discussed many, many times on this thread.

McIntyre, just a middle class fop appealing to poeple with no sense of humour.

Billy is a story teller, not a comic, I think his jokes are not funny but his delivery is superb. Never found Robin Williams funny either as a comic.

For me, Bill Burr, Louis CK, Kevin Bridges are funny.

Very much so.

Got to chuckle at the basic people comment. Only on PH.

I very much disliked Lee Evans, until I saw him live.

I've never changed my opinion so quickly - he was absolutely hilarious. I still don't like watching him on TV/DVD etc - but he's very much a comedian who takes a huge amount of energy and spreads it throughout an arena.

He's not built for TV, but I'd wager that if you went to see him live you'd change your view on him.

Seriously? 'Middle class'. That's the descriptor we use now is it, 'class'? Not other equally pointless things like gender, or colour, or sexuality? Or ... I dunno ... just funny or not funny.

The comedy of the 80s would have had your head exploding. Great to see that Jeremy's class warfare has started already.

Agreed, I saw him support Jack Dee at Manchester poly in 94. Dee was v funny but Evans was like a the tasmanian devil on meth. Much madder, faster and sweatier than you see hm now!

I don’t think that Ken Bigley’s family would agree with that sentiment, or, as Mr. Bigley was beheaded in 2004, after Connolly’s “joke” about “Don’t you wish that they’d get on with it”, (the Iraqi beheading of Mr. Bigley), has enough time passed to let it all fade away?

So his captors tuned in to Billy Connolly, heard him say that, and though "You know, he's right!" Cut, cut, cut, slice, slice!?

Go back to throwing keys at your wife.
