Nish 'one joke' Kumar apparently presented his one joke (buildup: brexit brexit brexit. Punchline: brexit brexit brexit) at a cricket charity event at the Grosvenor.
Satisfyingly, he was bread rolled off after about 60 seconds. Though he refused to leave at first, causing further booing and hails of baked product.
Apparently there is video of it, guess they won't be showing it on the BBC.

Tom thingy, gay bald bloke, went to school with Rob Beckett, can be funny. Has a nice twist on stuff and his delivery is spot on.
Can't remember his surname.
Tom Allen?Can't remember his surname.
Has absolutely ruined The Apprentice You're Fired.
He is one that is ok in small doses, 2 minutes max at a time. Anything longer than that and I want to kick my TV over.

Comedians should by now understand that we dont care for political jokes whatever the political colour
We have all lost our sense of humour when it comes to politics. We are tired of politics, the old saying 'it would be funny if it weren't so tragic' is very apt right now.
Its just not funny anymore, politics is one level off the bottom and thats why people are throwing stuff and booing 'comedians' off stage.

ETA: Romesh Ranganathan I feel the opposite about, find him incredibly tedious in panel shows but his stand up and other stuff he’s done on his own is hilarious.
Angela Barnes, however, is about as funny as prostate cancer.

Not sure what that’s about, I know that not all PHers are happy with the subject matter of some of my posts, and I couldn't care less about that, but I don’t post in an effort to keep everyone amused, and I’ve never appeared on stage, radio or TV as an alleged comedian, so I don’t know why I’ve been selected for a mention, but if it keeps you happy, knock yourselves out

If only Ben Elton was starting out today, we might have been quickly saved from years of his ste.We have all lost our sense of humour when it comes to politics. We are tired of politics, the old saying 'it would be funny if it weren't so tragic' is very apt right now.

Aside from the luvvies closing ranks & fizzing about how Kumar "is at the top of his game" & "they probably couldn't have afforded him if he hadn't done it for free so perhaps the audience should have been more grateful".
If this is the "top of his game" then his career should be over. The video clip is exactly what I saw of his "routine" in the summer and commented on earlier in the thread. Just shouting anti-Brexit statements and swearing at politicians. It fails because it is simply not funny. It's not crafted, it's not humorous, there's no routine with a theme or carefully observed epithets. It's basically just someone ranting as if they're at Speaker's Corner. It fails because it's just not funny. He wasn't the draw for the function, he was a piece of badly judged "entertainment". He failed to judge the mood of the audience and had nothing to fall back on nor the sense to change tack. He probably doesn't even have a routine to fall back on.
I'm sure there's lots of reasons for the exposure he gets on the BBC, but getting an audience to warm to him and laugh along with him isn't one of them.

Yeah, same shtick when I saw him.
He would make those kind of statements, then pause expecting a laugh. When the tumbleweed rolled, he just laughed loudly at himself and then made another similar statement or "Politican X is a F**** C****" and pause for laughs again.
Then I want that black man to go back to his parents and ask them to teach him that racism is not acceptable just because he's brown. He would make those kind of statements, then pause expecting a laugh. I want that racist to apologise and to stop linking Brexit to racism, the tt.
