Another vote for Nish Kumar.

Watching big fat quiz of the decade - he’s about as funny as finding blood on your toilet paper.

If Rosie Jones wasn’t on here, I’d be adding her.

For a Greta T comment on Last Leg. If it doesn’t get moaned at to Ofcom, I’d be surprised.
Another vote for Rosie Jones.

Comedy is all about delivery and timing. Unfortunately due to her disability, by the time she has managed to get the first few words out, I’ve already had plenty of time to work out the punchline well before she says it.

She’s also one of those female comedians who simply resorts to speaking about bodily functions and periods to be ‘funny’.

James Corden, can't watch anything with him in it, which is fair enough because most of the stuff he's in usually gets panned anyway.
To think the yanks got him as a replacement for Craig Ferguson.
Almost feel sorry for the yanks, they had Piers Morgan and now James Corden. But I suppose they're used to odious people and theres one that 'Trumps' them all.

IMHO This not strictly true. Mates dad is extremely intelligent funny guy, but has terrible stammer. I've spent a lot of time in his company over the years (crewing his modest yacht) and what you describe does happen - however if a person is genuinely funny, the delivery sometimes doesn't matter. I've been in stitches many a time well before the punchline makes its way out. And he is loving stringing it out even more.

So he eventually does a course focused on breathing and the stammer goes. So does the funny.

My theory: if it's gonna take 2 mins to get a good retort out, or 5 for a story, it had better be worth saying. No stammer = no filter required. Just say whatever you want - like the rest of us.

Anyway - turned out OK in the end as the breathing technique was too hard to keep going long term, so after a few years he was back to full stammer and the proper funny came back too.

All that said, I don't think this would really work on telly and don't find RJones very funny.

Sally Phillips.

Never seen anything she's been in until I caught the beginning of an episode of Tipping Point the other day where she was trying to be funny by adlibing the intros.

Painful.

Each to their own, I have to disagree there, I think that she did some funny stuff in “Smack the Pony”, and her portrayal of the fictional Finnish P.M. Mikka Häkkinen in “Veep” was consistently good, like a female Peter Sellers.

Bad news - he's chairing The News Quiz when it returns.

Good news - only until the spring.

It could be worse... They could've got Sandi Toksvig back!

The improvement in the News Quiz triggered by her departure came at far too great a cost with the complete destruction of QI as a form of comedic entertainment. irked

How she has managed to build a presumably lucrative career off the back of nothing more than being short, dumpy Danish lesbian is beyond my comprehension...

I thought she underplayed the role of Sophie in Alan Partridge perfectly.

I must be unique but I prefer Toksvig over Fry. She is far more lighthearted.

Seriously? That is very disappointing news.

Can I add Richard Osman to the list? He may not be a comedian, strictly speaking, but pops up on a lot of comedy panel shows, and llke Nish Kumar, is not as witty as he seems to think he is. They must both have incredible agents (on which note, going off at a tangent, Romain Grosjean's agent must be phenomenal), as they seem to be popping up everywhere at the moment.

Either that, or I am completely out of tune with the zeitgeist, which at the age of 47 is entirely possible.

On the Gold channel now is Britans best Comedians, where they have a shortlist of 30.

I wonder who we'd rate as unfunny in the list!
