Croydon - what's it like?

Although some parts are better than others, that doesn’t matter.

The geographical area is so small that the scum that infest the worst areas are always wandering into the slightly better places to see what crimes they can commit.

Got stuck in a monster of a traffic jam yesterday trying to go from South Croydon to Balham, yet again the local scum kicking off.

All I will say is this

I live in Dewsbury, I would rather live in Dewsbury than Croydon

Wow, what an amusing thread! I've lived here for a year, live in East Croydon near the high street. Regularly walk through the centre of town from the station late at night, similar to other town centres - lots of drunk people. Thornton Heath is a different matter, wouldn't want to walk through there at night.

Surprisingly I haven't been stabbed yet! Or had any aggression or otherwise.
