Come to Australia. Anyone can shop at any supermarket.
How terribly common! I wish we had a waitrose.
When I was last in the UK I was abused by someone I knew for shopping at Waitrose. How was I too know it was an act of class warfare to buy some stuff at the first supermarket within walking distance?
That's the thing I was most shocked about.
Here, I shop at Coles, the unemployed guy down the street shops at Coles and the multi millionare shops at Coles (or Woolworths/Safeways). It's just which ever shop is the most convenient, and there is no value judgement attached to your decision.
Sure, some will have a better range of products depending on area, but everything else is basically the same. Which is much healthier for a society imo

Except they're all crap, over-priced and open just enough tills to keep the queues 3 or 4 deep. Here, I shop at Coles, the unemployed guy down the street shops at Coles and the multi millionare shops at Coles (or Woolworths/Safeways). I love TESCO, they have every thing you could possibly want foodwise. Their staff are average but I couldn't care less about talking to them at the check-out, and I'm sure the feeling is mutual. I worked at an M&S: Simply Food when I was at 6th form, and the amount of bks you have to chat to the customers is unreal. Asking them how they are, do they need anything else, do they want their bags packing, do they want a credit card, do they need their arse wiping etc. I couldn't give a flying fk about what they did last weekend so what's the fking point in pretending? Mystery shoppers are on a par with mobile 'safety' camera operators. The only redeeming factor was decent pay.
I'd say ASDA is the worst place to shop, you get some minging people in there.
I'd suggest you don't persue a career in front end retailI'd say ASDA is the worst place to shop, you get some minging people in there.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but for marketing and positioning purposes, Sainsburys is places in the same group as Waitrose and M&S - which it isn't in my book. Same prices as Waitrose but without the quality! There is NO way that they are as cheap as Tesco, ASDA and Morrisons.

Tesco can't be that bad. There was some posh totty in there last night asking about a product with a very sexy, posh accent.
Did she give out an embarrassed little giggle when you explained you didn't work there?Justayellowbadge said:

Anyway, haven't bought new clothes in years. (Apart from a suit for my sister's wedding to avoid being killed until dead.)
