Ex Chelsea, and now Manchester City's England full back Wayne Bridge is into Star wars in a big way, his girlfriend bought him an outfit for his birthday...........

Words fail me..........biggrin

From Wiki:-

"Bridge became a father in November 2006 with French girlfriend, model and actress, Vanessa Perroncel, who gave birth to their son Jaydon Jean Claude Bridge, and celebrated by signing a new four-year contract with Chelsea on 22 November 2006.[18] Bridge regards "Horrid Henry and the Football Fiend" by Francesca Simon as his favourite book,[19] and Das EFX as his favourite band. In an issue of the official Chelsea Magazine, Bridge revealed his love for the Star Wars films and told of how his girlfriend bought him an Imperial Stormtrooper outfit."

i can get trooper gear for cost price if your interested.

or i do a good emperor prosthetic on my site for your sci-fi party.....
Thanks bigTree, but even at cost price I think it would be too expensive for one evening, do you hire such stuff though?

It's a Stormtrooper (or variant of) I'd prefer to go as.
don't really hire them at the mo as it's mainly FX makeup i do.

may do in future though!!

You're a star, if something comes off there'll be copious amounts of beer in it for you (and anyone else that comes up trumps).
I sent the Dorset Troopers an e-mail, just see if anything comes back from it now.

Different people have different hobbies I guess, I don't get train spotter's for example.

But, the 501st (I'm not a member obviously, can't afford it! LOL) do a lot for charity, an awful lot. Imagine kids faces at Great Ormand St when a bunch of Stormtroopers turn to wish them well for example.

pretty much all the various star wars groups and troops
do it for charity and will be out at events and fetes and such with collecting buckets for various charities in out wonderful english weather

some do it for NSPCC and Great Ormond Street and others for smaller charities

these guys buy their outifts/costumes and make parts of them themselves often cos they love the films and love to share

you always get some brats or smart arses but most of the time the smiles as kids see them ( or scream and run away) is great and worth it and at times you get the dads pushing their way into have photos taken with the stormtroopers etc too its all good fun just occasionally marred by the odd prat

Morning Rogue_420, The party isn't until about early October I don't think (the boss has the actual diary!), so no major rush.
I also forgot until last night that I will need to sit down, only to drive to the bash (I don't drink very much so generally get driving duty!).

There's something rather incronguous about the word "Dorset" when used in conjunction with Storm Troopers biggrin

Reminds me of some standup (Bill Bailey maybe?) taking the piss out of David Prowse's West Country accent "You arrr parrrt o' the rebel alloiance, an' a trayyyor".

ETA - well, the proves you can't phonetically type West Country biggrin

Hmmmmm....... the driver with the helmet on is a guy called Dave, and the girl is a model who happened to be at a car meet and had her picture taken in his car. You might want to stay out of that outfit after all.
