Is it that Jennifer has voted herself out?
If it's like Weakest witch, you have to name the person to be evicted, if not I don't get it either.
I have never heard of Weakest Witch so I don't really know what you are saying. If it's like Weakest witch, you have to name the person to be evicted, if not I don't get it either.
I doubt that anyone would make a joke that is so obscure that it neccesitates knowing the rules and regulations of a game show that noone has heard of.

I would say it was related to the man called 'Rich' who is minus over a thousand dollars.
And no, it isn't funny. None of the 'owned' pictures are funny. Neither is the 'Oh really' series or the cat in the ceiling watching the self fulfilling.
I apologise to all mankind for actually finding the "O Rly? Y Rly!" table tennis playing cats, slightly funny. And no, it isn't funny. None of the 'owned' pictures are funny. Neither is the 'Oh really' series or the cat in the ceiling watching the self fulfilling.

Taken from another thread. I just don't get this at all.Given that it is obviously intended to be funny, and casting aside my fury for people who thing using "owned" or even more cretinously "pwned" is clever- what is the actual humour here?
Is it just that one man has lots more points than the other two?
It can't be just that surely. .... COuld it?
It's not points, it's money. And it's their own money. Pretty sure it's a screen cap from the American gameshow Jeopardy! Basically Ken has thrashed the other two contestants who have not only not won anything, they've actually lost money. Is it just that one man has lots more points than the other two?

Seeing as you are a random picture poster- a coupld of questions if I may1)WHy did you post that there?
2)Is it supposed to be funny and if so-what is the joke?
3)Why is the question 'Oh really?' spelled 'O RLY' in it?
4)WHy did you post it there?

Has anyone bothered to look into the history of the "word" PWNED? I, rather unfortunately, decided to scratch this particular itch a while back. To think an error has spawned hundreds of depressingly rubbish pictures and made geeks feel über cool whilst "pwning" us "noobs" on Xbox live is very depressing.

It's because Ken holds the record for the longest winning streak in the history of Jeopardy;

He made $3million!

Kind of, I am hoping that the upshot is that you posted it in an ironic way?THat would be a happy ending.
Although you have to be a bit careful on the basis that so many people use these sort of things on purpose because they deem it funny, that it is easy to believe it is deliberate and you are ONE OF THEM

Half of me thinks you are talking to me, but the other half is in such disbelief that someone would abbreviate blindswelledrat to BWS that it assumes the first half of me is mistaken?Edited by blindswelledrat on Friday 7th August 11:09

Yep. To use it is to admit that you find 40 year old spotty geeks who don't have a girlfriend, who live with their mum and play computer games all day are actually cool. Oh, wait, that's me. Even though it originally manifested in online games the term has spread to use in the real world ... If you were playing a game of bowling and someone beat you by a large margin, that could be seen as being 'owned'. The real world term is used to describe beating someone at something either by a large margin or repeatedly.
