As for slipper advice, I can't really see where you can go wrong ... As long as you get the right sized slippers, an acceptable colour and they're fairly comfy, you're good to go!
OP, have you purchased them yet? If not; Samuel Windsor are having a sale. Mind, they are of a 'groan-up' type of slipper, if that is your style.
