Firing paint onto your intrenal wall is the act of someone that don't give a damn.

I suppose the only worry is him knowing where you live, but you should pass on the info... but only to the police, not to the angry factory owner smile

I would, one of your friends has just treated you with such disrespect by inviting someone else in to your home who has not only damaged your property but someone else's!!! and to top it you have to pay for it? under what circumstances is that fair. What if the guy turns on you for criminal damages and it soon becomes you in the lime light?

It's not your doing. I'd press for the details of said buffoon and pass them on to anyone who may want them.

You are loyal to your employees. Are they loyal to you?

If my premises got covered in paint, then I would want the culpurt brought to justice. I don't see that your neighbour is being unreasonable.

It looks like one of you employees has allowed his/her friend to bring your company into disrepute. I think that your employee needs to decide where his/her loyalties lie. This doesn't mean that I would sack the employee. I would offer them the opportunity to demonstrate their loyalty .

How does it go? ....Walk quietly and carry a big stick.

Just tell all the employees what happened and ask that the person who knows who was responsible comes to see you and gives details. Then wait and see what sort of calibre of employee you have.
That's what I would do, tell them because of this blokes actions the owner of the building has informed the police. The ball will be put the in their court and peer pressure will out the culprit.
