I used to go for a drive, now I get wound up by the other idiot, slow, un-observant drivers out there, so that doesn't work........

Rant at people that assume there will only be "gents" on any car related forum...rolleyes

I feel much better now...
Well known fact... gents is in fact short for 'ladies and gentlemen'.

(I Think I got away with it...)

Air Rifle.

I find aiming it almost like a type of meditation. Just kind of concentrates the brain and calms me down.

Also if you shoot what has been stressing you out it is even better.

That and mild substance abuse, allegedly.

When stressed - I pull the skin around my fingernails back often until it bleeds, mild "Dermatillomania" if you will. Actually, I do that when I'm not stressed to, but to a lesser extent.

I've actually got it under control recently as I'm using a decent handcream that is helping my fingers heal properly - I often look at a hard bit of skin/skin catch and think "that's untidy, I'd better deal with that".

More constructively - I listen to music that I know will cheer me up - At the moment, I've got "Werewolves of London" on repeat on my iPod smile

Put weight on frown

Two and a half stones in 7 months, but probably the worst time in my life (fingers crossed anyway), and now working to get it off again.

But normally full the tank, music on and just drive....or open a bottle.

Forgot about this one - I lose weight when stressed. A stone in the past 6 months despite my regular 2/3 Greggs pie lunches (about 3-4 times a week).

In all seriousness, going to the gym or going for a run always helps me when I'm stressed out, even if I don't feel like going.

If I'm not badly stressed out, then going for a drive is ideal, but if I'm really stressed/angry, I've discovered that going for a drive is too dangerous cos I end up driving like a madman.

Usually throw my hole punch at a colleague. It is usually him who accounts for 95% of the stress I ever get...

Damn good spend!

I know this shopping thing can often be the reserve of the ladies - but I find new car bits, tools, CDs & DVDs, new pair of trainers, good bottle of whisky etc etc etc pick up my mood a treat.

Then worry about the credit card in about 3.5 weeks time rolleyes
