Here's another bit to it, presumably went underneath the boiler?

Was apparently used to haul ore from a mine. There are bits of old track here and there too.

The 1937 grafitti includes a half-drawn Spitfire, a year before they were produced.

Chances of me exploring a deserted lunatic asylum, even in sunny broad daylight: absolutely none!!

Could be from later on, however the writing around the Spitfire is from 1937. And I don't believe this is faked, as it is drawn on a wall of a tunnel about 1 mile into the hillside!

It's quite fun looking around the asylums, it's interesting to see what they were all about - the cells are quite frightening however. They're tiny, I can't begin to imagine what life would be like living inside them. It was scary enough having to sit in one for half an hour whilst waiting for my friend to go and collect some other people!
There were pre-production Spits around in 1937.

Not sure I would be too keen to have a look around this place.

I like that. Think it's really stunning, quite beautiful. Would make a great home if restoration was possible.

Not sure I'd actually want to touch anything though...
That's some seriously valuable real estate they're sitting on; how can they justify not only hanging onto it, but spunking huge amounts of money guarding it from nosey UrbExers? Very weird. It would make an excellent Bond villain-style lair.
Spooky.

Abandoned leper colony. The last one was how it looked back in the day.
