soz for the misleading title, and yep i know it was fake. But I think personaly this should have been the last one.

I have seen this go round and round on various sites load of times, but not seen it on here before.

I hate teaser thread titles too, smacks of 'please read my thread' syndrome. I didn't click on the link, is it anything interesting?

Is this the end of Calvin and Hobbes then? Seems like he's growing up and forgetting about his little toy friend.

Ah well I suppose it always happens eventually.

Tragic - Don't bother clicking on the link - this is what it goes to.

No need for this at all - Why can't a child have an imaginary tiger?

As a Calvin and Hobbes fan, it is tragic really

not sure I believe it's real.

Even wikipedia has the last cartoon by Bill Watterson as 1995.

It's tragic as Bill Watterson has stopped doing Cavin & Hobbes and I'm sure that we'd've heard if he'd re-started - It's equally sad as I don't think that the cartoon would ever have taken that direction.

Another version (adding credence to the theory it is fake)

I'm surprised to agree that it is extremely sad frown

I'm sure all boys have been Captain Spiff or wanted to transmogrify themselves at some point.

For me, it was the wonderful imagination of a little boy that could take himself outside the realms of reality and with his best friend, have adventures as a number of different characters. Calvin was also extremely blunt when it came to stating the truth about certain scenarios - he cut through the crap and saw everything in black and white as often a child does.

The fact that the strip mentions pills to curb his activities shows that society will do what ever it takes to control and average everyone out.

It is the death of ideas and creativity. There's a Calvin in all of us - or at least there was...

Just my take - written quickly.

It doesn't matter that it's fake, really.

It's still a little sad.

You do realise it is just a cartoon story?

I don't get sad if when watching a film there is a negative part, why would I when reading a cartoon?

It is just another day another cartoon.
