soz for the misleading title, and yep i know it was fake. But I think personaly this should have been the last one.
I have seen this go round and round on various sites load of times, but not seen it on here before.

not sure I believe it's real.
Even wikipedia has the last cartoon by Bill Watterson as 1995.

It's tragic as Bill Watterson has stopped doing Cavin & Hobbes and I'm sure that we'd've heard if he'd re-started - It's equally sad as I don't think that the cartoon would ever have taken that direction.
indeed.i love'd reading Calvin & Hobbes, infact on occasion i still pick one up!
i also dislike the way the image of Calvin is used like this

Why is this sad?
For me, it was the wonderful imagination of a little boy that could take himself outside the realms of reality and with his best friend, have adventures as a number of different characters. Calvin was also extremely blunt when it came to stating the truth about certain scenarios - he cut through the crap and saw everything in black and white as often a child does. The fact that the strip mentions pills to curb his activities shows that society will do what ever it takes to control and average everyone out.
It is the death of ideas and creativity. There's a Calvin in all of us - or at least there was...
Just my take - written quickly.

I don't get sad if when watching a film there is a negative part, why would I when reading a cartoon?
It is just another day another cartoon.
