Seriously, that really is a very good solution to personal transportation.
Really? Think how many people travel to work each day either in their own car or on the bus. Now imagine that same amount of people jostling for air space. No lane markings or traffic lights up there!

Fun as a weekend toy, but as a replacement for regular transport, I doubt it.

on a serious note..

I assume it has some auto landing thing, i.e if you just let off the throttle at 100ft you don't pancake.. I wonder if it has an Enforced ceiling level?

And i like the testing in the crosswinds..

No, not really, but I'd use one to commute in, would break up the tedium. I mean, you could actually fly to the office, what's not to like?

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, if there was only myself that had one then I'd use it all the time! If everyone had one though it would be mayhem laugh

Imagine the insurance - if it breaks down at 2500m you are going to need a lot more than T-Cut yikes

Seriously however, I would love one

Until one of the afore mentioned thick jetpack pilots crashes into another and they land on your car.

It has a parachute system as standard equipment. It must have quite a high minumum height at which it will safely deploy( along the lines of the heli avoid curve) which will be interesting.
Then you have weather to factor in.I'd love to see a low flight time "pilot" enter IMC and remain in control of it! It probably has a level of automation built into it...

You will of course be called Buzz Lightyear if you turn up at the office strapped to one of those.

..and a wing for added lift. And then somewhere comfy to sit, with space for luggage. And an enclosed canopy for better aerodynamics. And wheels for high speed landings.

Because it weighs less than 254 pounds (115kg) the jet pack does not require a pilot's licence

I can't see these ever being legal in the UK.

They won't even let us use segways incase we hurt each other...
