I can see a lot of their customers spending the last few moments of their life screaming like a baby, before the inevitable.
Time for the remake of an old joke hehe

I want to die like my father, peacefully sleeping, not screaming like the people he hit with his jetpack.

Has to be practically useless for civilian applications.

If you're in a densely populated area you wouldn't be allowed to use it.

If you're in a sparsely populated area it would be quicker to use a car.

Fun-wise, it surely couldn't be more fun than one of those Red Bull racing planes.
Not quite true. My daily commute through mostly A roads in the country (clipping Tunbridge Wells), takes about 25-35 minutes, depending on traffic. Google Maps tells me it is a distance of just over 20 miles, which makes my average speed about 40-48mph. With this I could fly as the crow flies (give or take wind direction), covering more like 15 miles at roughly 60mph, getting to work in half the time. I hope it's no more than 15 miles though or else I won't have the range to get home! lol

If I had the money I'd be seriously tempted.

Oh man I want one of these.

CAA will doubtless make you get a licence to fly one though - it is after all really a light aircraft.
