On the toilet doing my business - Because everybody knows that Death is the best relief of constipation. Also, since Elvis Presley, Lenny Bruce, Elagabalus (Roman Emperor), and Orville Redenbacher did this, it must be a cool way to go.

I have heard nitrogen is a pretty painless way to go.

I have asked the same question, but judging from her reply, either herself or someone close has tried something you posted and had an alternate result. But as has been said, we shall not delve.

Nothing too spectacular, as long as I leave a crater visible from space, I'll be happy.

We've all been through dark times. Just please don't post 'methods' that the uninitiated can fk up. The consequences are severe.

Ideally...In a fireball off a bridge in some form of supercar. If you go out, you do it in style...The last thing I'd want is the slow decline of one's health with the gradual disappearance of one's independance & dignity as you lose the ability to do anything for yourself...I see it daily in a loved one & seeing it first hand for well over decade has allowed me to realise how I want to go.

If it isn't in said fireball scenario...I hope one day euthanasia becomes legal, but that's another subject entirely hehe

Like my aunt, peacefully in her sleep....not like the three people screaming in the back seat of her car.

OK then; at 101 years old, shot by a jealous husband whilst climbing out his wife's window.

Without reading more than the first page I can see that most of us either want to die peacefully in our sleep or in a massive fireball.

Sums me up too thumbup

Was that the right cliche? Are you still with us?

After seeing my grandfather die horribly not knowing where he was (Alzheimers), I would rather go in my sleep.

Thing is, being brutal about it, once you are dead, you never even knew you existed - just gone. So it wouldn't matter much anyway.

It's not like you will be looking down going "Oooo that was a bit of a crap way to go - DOH"

Life is not a journey to the grave, with the intention of arriving safely, in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside on, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming: WOW, what a ride!

Good point.

When we're dead, we won't care how we died.
