Ouch! fking ouch.

So using feathers for years and just shaved and cut my self silly. Fresh blade, on the lightest setting. Could it be a bad blade?

Done all the usuals, hot water on face etc.

I'm also out of feathers, is there anything else to try that's light for my soft baby face?
Nicked myself a few times today with a fresh feather. I think its more to do with the cream though, I used GFT Rose and it doesn't lather up that great, had no problems with the Bluebeards revenge for a fortnight. The Rose felt like it was drying up fast.
I used a derby the time before, and only cold water, maybe it's due to fickingn up my face from that? I've got persona blue, always used it and it's been a dream. Will try again, but more water next time!

Ta Lordy.

Luckily not my nads!! My fault, rushing before a funeral and nicked my neck below my ear! Blood everywhere!! I haven't had one nic with the other blades but these feathers are super sharp!!! Luckily my shirt collar was a cm below the cut so stayed blood free....and my beard covered it a bit so nobody noticed. Just got stick off some of my family as they've not seen the beard before & kept calling me Jewish rolleyes

I've bought some alum block now...just in case!!

Give Personna Platinums a go, much better than Feathers IMO yes

Alum block with help with burns, rashes and very minor nicks, but a styptic pencil will staunch a decent flow. yes

Yeah the Persona's were good. Also a big fan of the Gillete Super Blue now. I'm getting a better shave with these, no rash or nic's.

I'm ordering the pen later! I've left it grow a few days now so hopefully the cuts healed up nice!!

Yep. I use Feathers solely, but by god they blunt quickly!

Last time I shaved with a multi-blade was over 2 years ago when I was flying. I travel light so only carry hand luggage and obviously you can't carry razor blades on board. Though I did get through Edinburgh security with a blade in my razor the trip before!

I have been using an Edwin Jagger, Roseacre goats milk shaving soap, Simpsons badger brush and Gillette Super Blue blades. I don't always shave every day and I find that the combination cuts through my sometimes heavy growth without causing razor rash.

Going to need to get more blades though as my dog chewed the last lot eek

Most welcome.

I shall struggle on with Feathers since they're all that cuts the wire wool that issues from my chin smile
