Unless I am missing some extra layer of humour, it's a standard meme / trope.

  • The Rock says something [1]
  • Girl makes some response [2] that shows she has far more knowledge that he assumed she had because, you know, she's a girl
  • The Rock turns round and looks surprised
[1] In this case an equation
[2] In this case a much more complex equation

Perfect Gas law followed by Van der Waals equation. The first equation only applies to perfect gases whilst Van der Waals is for real gasses. I guessing there may be a pun involving "give it some gas" but I am unaware of the full gamut of Dwayne Johnson's work.

Ah, thank you for the clarification. I had obviously looked at it too superficially. paperbag

Even restricting the discussion to chickens, the egg obviously came first. The chicken-like animal that laid the first chicken egg was not yet, quite a chicken (some kind of cro-magchick or neaderchicken). But it laid an egg with an embryo inside that due to some final mutation hatched into a chicken as we know it today.

It's from (the surprisingly enjoyable) 'Race to Witch Mountain', she's a super-intelligent alien. No idea how that helps explain the joke mind.

I'd never noticed before, just how much Heinrich Hertz looks like Richard Thompson (or vice versa).
