Might be more ironic if it had been Commander Jameson.

But you can never post again or that post won't make sense.

Eh? His 1,337th post was in this thread. That fact will not change as he makes subsequent posts.

Not a joke as such, but for the English geeks, explain:
Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.

Which is a gramtically correct sentance.
The English geeks won't get it. You need a Chomsky American for that to be gramatically correct.
I bough to your superior knowledge, Sir. wink

So?

That's like me saying "this morning I had a cup of coffee" and you replying "well, you'd better not have a cup of tea this afternoon then, cos then you won't have had a cup of coffee this morning".

Seriously, wtf?

What are you on about?!??!

The point of it, as far as I gathered was that his post count was 1337 - so his 1337th post would show on this thread, being that his post counter showed 1337 to go with the topic of the thread, being humourous to geeks.

But, as soon as he posts, that counter will be 1338, thusly not as humourous, and hence the moment will pass...

I'm sure someone else can bring you a wooooosh parrot with a side order of fries!

There used to be a poke in ZX-Basic that made the screen look like it was loading a program. We used to go into Smiths at lunchtime and right something like
10 PRINT "Loading Manic Miner"
20 POKE nnnnn, xxx

And then press play on the tape recorder, and disappear. You could get quite a crowd around the screen if you picked the right game title.
You mean this:-
10 PRINT "Loading: Bandersnatch"
20 RANDOMISE USER 1234

Scary the things you can remember.

I though that number rang a bell:

The bug-byte cheat code was the numerical sequence "6031769" - based on Matthew Smith's driving licence

I wonder how many people would think it was a phone number?

Doctor, Doctor, my poo looks like chips.
Pull your string vest up a bit.

OK, wrong thread. Try this instead:

Helium walks into a bar.
"We don't serve noble gases."
Helium doesn't react.

Not forgetting the classic:

This was my 'Bible' during the early 1980s. I still have a copy in the loft.

Anyone remember this?
