Just want to discuss this brand;

I am a massive fan. Why? Because my senses literally go bonkers over certain feelings they seem to create.

As a result, I am currently going bonkers over MB products - basically bath and shower products. I had bought, as of May, every single scent / aroma in 100ml bottles. I had around 12 in total and it cost me around £130.

Since then I have learnt the brand and decided what I really like, as well as worked out what is feminine / masculine having rushed in and gone mad. As a result I have a massive collection, the little bottles will be sold on Ebay and the larger ones I have ordered for the main collection. Some have already gone and are being replaced.

The current collection: (excluding some side bottles which are currently up for sale / sold on Ebay)

My questioning is thus;

Ok its expensive. And they claim to include rare oils and plants in their range. But - what REALLY goes into that bottle? Do they / can they water down those oils / extracts cheaply and if so how much profit are they making? (6 London stores and some outers based on a product that is known but not often bought). They obviously make $$$ but how?

Do you use MB and if so why?

Personally, I am in love with some of their products. The money in my eyes is worth it for certain ones such as the gents range, i.e Silverbirch / Black Pepper / Cool Buchu but I have also bought others such as Pink Pepperpod / Templetree / Bushukan Citrus and Eucalyptus to name but a few...

The Black Pepper shower gel is amazing. Unfortunately I can't justify the expense at the moment frown

He's in touch with his feminine side, but it's got hold of his credit card when he wasn't looking and has bankrupted him by buying overpriced liquid soap that costs more by volume than Dalmore 50yr old.

Just realised where I'd seen that brand before.

Reasonably posh hotels.

Didn't know it was worth nicking to flog on eBay, though, or I'd have acquired a lot more of it over the last few years.

Everyone says that - and I find it so amusing, I am about as red blooded as you get - and male grooming / bodycare is pretty "in" at the moment. Unless your a fat knacker.

Are you a fat knacker?

My flatmate uses it and the bathroom smells amazing after he's had a shower (this sounds as gay as the OP), but the price is just stupid.

Agree with both. But then if you want it...

Where do you draw the line?

I've checked and Mrs Pints is sleeping beside me, wearing a soft smile (that'll be my manly abilities which came into play lastnight, thank you very much).

And to think I manage with a bar of Dove soap, Head & Shoulders shampoo, and the occasional use of aqueous cream to keep the skin from looking like a hessien (sp?) sack.
Shock, horror.

Wow. Man becomes obsessed with mid-range toiletry product and photographs his 'collection'.

Nothing gay about buying nice things - boasting to men on the Internet about it is a little suspect though.

Whoa, whoa... Hey... Easy tiger...

I'm slightly overweight, but I suppose my little victory is I managed to bag myself a good woman with only the help of a £1.00 bottle of apple Alberto Balsam; which, wait for it... I wash my entire body with.

I wonder if it's the fresh and fruity apple scent that drew her in? Or the opportunity for her to use the majority of the shelf space in the bathroom? Maybe it's just the appeal of a man who doesn't care what's "pretty 'in' at the moment".
