Hi.

A few week's ago i was walking along and my right knee started clicking.Next minute the most viscous pain hit me.
Next day my knee had swollen up a little and was only able to bend it slightly.Anyway to cut a long story i went to hospital and they said it was muscle trouble.Spent the week on crutches, ice etc.

Now i can bend my knee ok but the knee bone hurts like hell to the touch! My knee is clicking all the time aswell. Now still walking with a limp and a good knee brace on.

Does anyone know whats the matter with me,i'm going mad with it!
Cheers.

Lee.

Sounds like a bit of inflammation where the muscles pass over your patella perhaps?

My knees are somewhat knackered and used to do the same, taught muscles pushing the patella into its tract.

meniscus

go back and don't accept anything less than a consultation with an orthopaedic surgeon (preferably a knee surgeon)

Possibly might need a minor operation, (keyhole surgery, usually lasting around 20mins).....(Google ARTHROSCOPY).....had this op five years ago, never had any trouble since.

  • Disclaimer*.... Only said possibly, I would go and see a doctor with a view to booking a MRI scan.

unlikely you'll need an MRI scan if the history of injury and symptoms are so clear, but you need to be in the room with a specialist, not over t'interweb.

unless you fancy waving your poorly knee near your modem, it will need to be 10Mb line or better, I just can't get the feeling on 56k smile

I've had this done as well, sorted everything out nicely.
