Frozen Shoulder
Discussion
I had a frozen shoulder about 3 years ago. Luckily I have private health insurance so went and saw a surgeon who gave me a cortisone injection, which didn't do anything, so had a scan and was found to have a severe case of Tendonitis.
So had surgery to shave the bone that was rubbing against the tendon and to repair the damage that had been caused.
It was extremely painful for about a week and then slowly got back to normal.
Even now in the gym it sometimes hurts.
Have you been to your GP and asked about an injection?

I had one about 6 years ago. Hurts like hell and kept me awake at night for months.
I had the choice of cortisone injection + manipulation under general anaesthetic, or a course of physio. Being a coward, I went for the latter. It took about 3 months, once a week, but it started to "thaw" and now I'm absolutely fine. Swimming helps a lot, though you do start up going round in circles until it starts to ease.
Get yourself to a specialist, if you can. GPs don't know the intricacies of them... my doctor mis-diagnosed it as arthritis. The specialist diagnosed me as soon as I walked into his office.

Yes booked in to see Dr. Mrs Chard had the same thing a couple of years ago and used BUPA for some micro surgery seemed to work. So had surgery to shave the bone that was rubbing against the tendon and to repair the damage that had been caused.

I thought I would try to "man it out" however disturbed sleep is making me quite cranky so may have to resort to treatment.

It bloody hurts! Whilst you're at GP, get referred and some strong painkillers
It's a trek for you, but we have a local witch doctor who works majick with these types of injuries. He's not strictly speaking a traditional physio or sports therapist, but he's sorted out several people I know, me included, with chronic issues sometimes spanning decades. Usually sorted in one visit.
He currently works with primarily rugby players and competitive weight lifters.
He trades as Knightswood Clinic, Mike Lewis. Contact details here: click.
