No, but my brother has done a couple of spreadsheets detailing amounts of protein and ranking them by grams per calorie, grams of protein per £/value etc. for various powders and bars, and he's listed which bars are vegetarian I think.

A bit like the screen grab here.

PM if you want a copy.

Glad you posted that. I love a my coffee. Yesterday when i went shopping i got some whitener stuff thinking it would be better than milk. Seems i was wrong redcard

Ive learnt loads about what to / or not eat etc since i started working out but still so much more to learn. Some things you think will be good turn out to be bad and visa versa lol
Drink coffee properly - neat* - and it's no problem. wink

  • Proper neat coffee is a shot of espresso, straight up.

... except some research suggests coffee/caffeine while helping to keep alert and stimulated may also inhibit fat burning.
So... you may be able to work harder for longer so potentially build more muscle, you may lose less fat. :dunno:

Don't slimming pills contain caffeine, though?

I have read both sides of the argument, decided I love caffeine (probably from living in Italy/USA for far too long) and decided to enjoy some blissful ignorance and drink it by the bucketload each day!

I'm back on a serious cut from today, first carb free breakfast so treated myself:
4 rashers of bacon
Scrambled eggs
2 black pudding (non oat variety)
Who said a training diet was hard ey?
Where do you get the non oat variety from?

Can't find it anywhere.

Anyone know what the best substitute is if you're making your own?

Thanks, I couldn't find much when I tried.

I take it with rice it'll be quite lower in carbs compared to wheat as they'll use less in the process?

I'm trying to come up with a filling, tasty breakfast whilst on a cut as such.

We're going to have a falling out very soon, Mr Halb. Eating beetroot as they are (peeled!) is heavenly.

Juicing them is incredible, can be a bit of an overload at first - I suffered from headaches to start off with as it's massive cleanse for your liver. Recommended to mix 1 part beet to 2/3 parts water to allow your body to absorb all the nutrients in concentrations it likes.
If you drink it for a few days you will feel the difference!
You might want to add something like an apple to sweeten the taste a little if you don't like the earthy taste

Interesting article on casesin.
http://www.motivatingmax.com/casein
Casein is not required at any time of the day, your body will not worry itself waiting while you sleep for it's next lump of protein. It's the total over the day, over several days that matters. Save money and get whey protein to help you get to your protein numbers. There has never been a study that has proved that the 'regular feed' method that is touted by many as being better than any other method.

If you throw a can of red beetbull at my head, then I very may well trim your goatee.

You eat raw beets, or boil them or something?

Eh, eh, OKaaayyy, that sounds sick. I couldn't stomach that.
I looked at the peeled ones you get, and there was a tonne of added st in there, including sugar (of all things!!) so I am looking at mashing my own. Or something.

Headaches? Right, I do find the taste earthy. I bought some beetroot juice with 10% apple juice, I couldn't even handle more than a glass of that. I saw a recipe on youtube for beets and ginger and something else.

Yeah, vacuum packed when I'm lazy. Boil them as you would carrots. They go nice and soft. I see why you want to blend them now.
