Anyway if you are willing to listen, Didelydoo is one of the only true strength athletes on here
Oh, right. Anyway the OP is quite clearly trolling the forum, I wasn't hundred percent sure before because some folk really do not have any social skills but after the last few posts its clear.
Still he's one of the better trolls.

Any guesses who ? I am convinced it is a PH regular or at least an ex PH'er.Anyway the OP is quite clearly trolling the forum, I wasn't hundred percent sure before because some folk really do not have any social skills but after the last few posts its clear.

I find it quite amazing how many serious answers he managed to get even when it was clear he was trolling, just shows how friendly this forum is and how many people don't bother to read the whole thread.

Same guy, he admits his first account was deleted.
If you look at the way he posts with multiple quotes and phrases like ' myriad of assumptions ' he does not sound like a uni student who says banging instead of lifting. Definite troll and either a PH regular having fun or an ex PH'er. Harmless enough and managed to still get answers 6 pages later !
Not read the whole thread yet (I use max vision so it's only two pages), but from the bits I have read reminds me of motorsport character who reckoned he would DB press/fly (can't recall) 50/60kg but didn't know what the exercise was called. If you look at the way he posts with multiple quotes and phrases like ' myriad of assumptions ' he does not sound like a uni student who says banging instead of lifting. That's true. I am most envious of his pressing strength.Edited by Halb on Sunday 13th May 23:15

I guess its fun for some! I find it all mildly amusing.
Yeah, he did used to get his knickers in a twist sometimes but I don't think he was a bad'un. He was trying to show how ridiculous some racist views are by satire and saying some stupid things himself. I read it and thought it was that, but other complained I suppose and thought he was being racist.

Right I have been banging weights for strength since going to uni for 14 months (before hand lifting at home for a few years; more for endurance due to weights being expensive to buy). Some stats about me first:
Height: 5'11
Standard weight: 12.5 stone
Current weight: 14 stone
Build: Lanky (long arms and legs, small body)
As you can see I've bulked up a bit from my standard weight but that is not my aim; I wanted to stay about 12/13 stone and build my strength, obviously that hasn't happened.
I do squats, deadlifts, overhead presses and bench press as my main exercises. These are complemented by shrugs, bent over rows, shoulder presses, upright rows and occasionally a wild card exercise when I fancy a change. Below are my stats, all stats are weight on the bar and for 5 reps:
Squats 60 kilos (need long rests between reps of about 5-10 seconds and don't even get the set all the time)
Deadlift 90 kilos (need to reset my grip halfway through)
Overhead press 25 kilos (can manage a couple of 6 reps)
Bench press 50 kilos (again, can manage 6 occasionally)
I read forums and hear of a lot lighter people pushing a lot more weight (for instance someone who weighs 75 kg pushing a 110 kilo squat). I want to be like them, I don't necessarily want to be bulky just strong. I have also seen first hand smaller people pushing loads more weight than me, it is frustrating. I often do calithetics, dips and pullups for a warmup as well as warming with the bar. Please help.

Just because OP may or may not be genuine and/or a knobber doesn't mean others won't read and learn. If you have something to pass on, there are plenty here willing to read and comment.
Fair comment. I was going to offer myself as an example of someone who is taller and lighter than the OP yet lifting a reasonable amount more, then in turn my mate who is lighter and stronger again, than me. Then say that weight/size doesnt = strength and point the finger at a) not trying hard enough and/or b) poor nutrition
