Yes I know you have to try them on, they are all different etc but does anyone have any recommendations for some good new trainers?
I have had a pair of New Balance for about 6 years and while they are only worn in the gym and look brand new the cushioning has definately gone on them and I need a new pair.
They will be for general gym use with some running (running machine not ourdoors).
Happy to go up to around £125 ish.
Thanks

No need to spend £125 unless you're primarily after fashion.
If you're doing even a little running, get yourself down to a proper running shop, get your gait analysed, then choose a shoe from the selection they have on offer.
Ever since I went this route I've had considerably less in the way of leg/knee pain.

I'd go for the new Asics GT2170's. I've had the 2150/60's and I would reccomend them. They a great support trainer and last well. The only problem I had was with the mesh above my big toe, but that's specific to the way I run...I buy from here:

Alternatively, the Nike Lunarglide 3+. Again, fantastic trainer and they look a bit better than the classic running shoe.
Nike always have a clearance sale on, check it out:
