Excersise with bad knees
Discussion
Hi guys,
I recently changed jobs for one with a much shorter commute, freeing up time to get back on a fitness kick. I could stand to lose a good 20lb and strengthen up.
My only issue I bad knees, from martial arts years. Running gets them inflamed and sore, even just 2k on a rubber track.
There's a pool opening near my house this month so swimming seems obvious, but what else can. Do that is very low-impact even in warmup / cardio? Martial arts etc isn't good because I'd need to run to get cardio fitness back to do them.

Knee problems are often the result of problems somewhere else like your ITB or even lower back. I recently changed jobs for one with a much shorter commute, freeing up time to get back on a fitness kick. I could stand to lose a good 20lb and strengthen up.

Can you see a physio and actually get your knee problem fixed? You might be able to do this.
