Sex drive and age?

I rather depressingly heard a friend of mine who's not that much older than me (and used to be a randy sod) say that he's glad his sex drive has reduced to almost nothing and he's not ruled by his dick anymore. Apparently he can take it or leave it and just isn't that bothered either way anymore.
