Took a 3mg tab 2 hours ago and still can't sleep. The bottle says take one 30 mins before sleep but I think for me its more like 3 hours and on an empty stomach.

It's available on prescription for over 55s as a sleep aid - but bizarrely my GP was thinking about prescribing it as an aid for me when I could only stay awake 5 hours due to high pain killer dose - must be something there but I didn't pursue! I bought mine on ebay - a proper brand - not being quite over 55 yet!

It's a completely naturally ocurring hormone so no issues with taking higher doses over a short term. Apart from the massive pair of norks you sprout but what's not to like? (joking).

I only ever take it to regulate jet lag - I have 3mg pills but haven't ever had any problems with taking 12-15 mgs initially. And then bringing down to 6mg.

As I said I buy mine OTC in the US - I would be dubious about buying something over the web that you can't buy OTC in the UK - never know what you are getting.

I asked them about stock, and they told me they are having manufacturer back order issues.
