Since playing in a charity football game 10 days ago I have been getting a pain that goes from the right side of my neck down to the top of my back and right arm. As it was a charity game there hardly any physical contact and cant remember anything specific that might have caused it. At first I thought it might just be a pulled muscle but it doesn't appear to be easing up despite hot showers/baths and a little bit of massage from the wife, also taking anti-inflammatorys and co-codomol. I have full range of movement in my shoulder/arm and can bring the pain on by bring my chin to my chest and leaning my head to the left side.

I was going to go to the walk in center but their ex-ray machine is currently down until tomorrow (would an x-ray be any good anyway?) and I don't really want to go to A+E with the 4/5 hour wait unless it appears to really be serious..

Any ideas what it could be?

Go to the GP and ask to be refered to physio, they will tell you which bit it buggered.

An Xray will likely show up naff all, in fact they would likely turn you away and send you to your GP.

Good luck, I recenlty had a shoulder injury (subacromial impingement) they are a swine, the most simple of tasks is made very difficult without your neck/shoulders.
