Eight hour plus flight to the USA tomorrow. I've had some sort of bug for a few days / head cold. Very slight fever at times. In a normal week I would qualify it as being "under the weather" and go in to work and be grouchy. No underling health issues. I am well armed with Ibuprofen etc should I need it. Flight ticket is fully refundable.

I can do some of the work by conference call and fly out in a couple of weeks. So no major work issues - although I may get a reputation as a wimp.

Your advice please.

No idea on your pros and cons, but for the sake of fellow passengers it would be thoughtful of you to stay at home. No-one will thank you for passing your germs along in a sealed tube for 8 hours.
Hope you get well soon. biggrin

In my workplace we have a number of frequent flyers. They constantly develop coughs and colds shortly after coming back from overseas flights and complain bitterly about the person sat next to them on the plane with a snotty nose!

Flying won't do you any harm, but it can cause misery for the people you pass your germs to.

If you've been snotty and fly, then make sure you have some decongestant with you. Nothing worse than the pressure changing with blocked sinuses.
