Hi folks.
I'm looking for a change of routine and want to try some all over strength and conditioning type workouts.
A quite hardcore multi exercise type, maybe a circuit that can be done in a regular gym lasting around 30-40 mins.

Iv'e done some searches and haven't really found anything inspiring, so
any offers please.

Cheers.

300 workout?

Google kettlebell training?

I'd just make up my own with a combination of kettlebell work, db work and plates eg db/kb clean and press, kb turkish get ups, plyo pull ups, plyo horizontal rows, press ups, wood chops, kb/plate punching, kb swings, toe to bar leg raises.

Edit: thought I ought to clarify, by punching I don't mean you punch a kb or plate. Hold said item in both hands and thrust item back and forth rapidly. Avoid fully extending in case you damage your elbows.

Take a fixed weight barbell if maybe 20-25kgs and try this.

6 rounds at reps 25,21,18,15,12,9

Round 1

Push ups x25
Rows x25
Hang clean and press x25
Squats x25
Deadlift x25

A nice 500 rep workout biggrin

Google barbell complexes, if your gym has kettlebells then they are also very good.

Look at crossfit workouts on YouTube, you can take inspiration and make your own circuits up smile

I'd go the 300 route. Bloody hard work and fits your timescale.

If you belong to a gym get an instructor to put a circuit together for you. I've got one that I do 2,3 or 4 repetitions on depending on weight (I mix it up monthly or sometimes weekly) and it's made a great difference. Chest press, lat pulldown, leg extension, leg press, tricep push down, bicep curl and finish with squat and press.

Noting the key words in your post/intention I'd look up some of the s&c workouts developed for MMA and/or boxing - plenty on the web + several magazines like 'Fighting Fit' and others have good cycles/patterns/cycles backed up by real life experience as well as some data.

Jack Lovet at Spartan Performance is one of the best trainers /sources in the UK

and has clips on YouTube.

Or CrossFit.

Have a look at P90X. It really is excellent.

Just about to start the final week of the first training block and will be posting a thread on it when I'm done.
