I have plantar fasciitis (or at least something with identical symptoms).

The #1 "remedy" seems to be rest. But then I'll just end up being giantbob77 and the problem will be even worse.

So what kind of insoles or supports or whatever should I be looking at? I've tried some from Boots but they're either useless or don't fit my size 11 shoes.

I had custom insoles made for my pronation. They helped, but the best aid was stretching my calves 4 times a day with e.g. Calf stair stretch.

Not sure if this would be right for you but when I struggled to walk with osteo-arthritis in the ankle I was given one of these through Orthotics. It really is in a different league for support and helped me on the road to recovery.
