I also got a free tub of protein for being the first person in my gym to press the inch dumbbell.
Wish we had challenges like that!

I didn't know about the free protein- a lovely surprise!

No, I just draw boobs on the shell before eating them. Sexy.

My increase in eggs has had a direct correlation with good weight gain- only been say, 3 weeks, but unexpected results moving from intermittent fasting. ( ie, moving from IT to non IT) Some proper solid weight gain, even surprised myself!
What does IT stand for?

Intravenous transfusion. Eggs are ideal for this, as long as you don't beat them too much and the goo gets too thick to get down the needle easily.

I don't wish to over egg the situation, however, I have died of egg poisoning.

Croak.

(Mrs H would like me to point out that she never said I'd die, just that she thought 4 a day was too many)

Re. the need for carbs V no need for carbs debate, an interesting comment by Shane McGuigan about how Carl Frampton has responded to a low carb, high protein diet from 2m55s in here and using his fat sources as a main energy supply at 3m30s on...

Not his last video so at least 50 in a day is safe.

But your liver is now so fked we'll soon be able to market you as 'Lancs Foie Gras' substitute!

As long as the EU rule makers are Ok with using the trademark? I hear they are thinking of putting "Protein Kills" on the label of every tub...

I worked on the Burns Unit as a Plastic surgery trainee in my region, and its kitchen still had some cook books from the '60s and '70s.

One of the diets for the burn victims, and we're talking burns of surface area 30,40 and 50%, was 24 eggs a day. Every day.

Protein intake was, and is important in a healing state. If you saw a cholesterol rise, but you survived the burn, they you were laughing. Now we have specialist diets, but it's not uncommon to need 5000 calories/day

The mortality (death rate) used to be: surface area percentage of burn + age in years.

40 yrs old with a 50% area burn = 90% chance of death

I'm doing Keto, and eat lots of eggs, (nitrite free) bacon, almonds, leafy green veg and steak. I feel great so far, awesome energy levels and I've lost about 22lbs in 2 months (With a few 'off' days as well).

Just drink lots of water.
