Previously used all in one shakes but this looked like a good deal so thought I'd try it out. Now I have a box of stuff and I'm not sure what to do with it all. Can anyone help with breaking down how best to use it ie what times to take supplements / purpose of other stuff?

List below

2.5kg, Chocolate Smooth
A rich source of whey protein concentrate that aids muscle repair and recovery

- So, following a workout as normal then?

Instant Oats
5kg, unflavoured
A fantastic source of low Glycaemic Index (GI) carbohydrates ideal for fuelling your exercise routine

- breakfast?

Creatine Monohydrate
500g
Designed to promote gains in size, power and strength by favourably replenishing your body’s ATP stores

- no idea when to take this. I've had this before in all-in-ones as im a veggie

Daily Vitamins
60 tablets
Comprehensive multi-vitamin designed to increase overall well-being and prevent vitamin deficiency in your diet

Omega 3
90 capsules
Contains a blend of healthy fats derived from fish and plant oils which help brain, immune and cardiovascular functions

Zinc and Magnesium
90 capsules
A combination of 2 dietary minerals needed to support optimal muscular function and boost growth compounds
- morning stuff?

Taurine
250g
An amino acid that acts as a cell volumiser that can draw nutrients into the muscle which can aid recovery and growth

Thermopure®
90 capsules
A potent thermogenic blend which promotes fat loss and an increase in energy and vitality

- no idea about these two?

I'm not overweight, fit and active. It's mostly about weight control and functional strength for me. Lean gains and all that.

Well, it was the same price as without it all so smile

I do know what it all is (albeit not sure about the potential side effects of taurine).

Training wise a typical week might look like
14 miles a day bike (commuting) - call it aerobic levels. unless I feel like destroying a strava segment tongue out

2 Strength and conditioning sessions - typical body weight exercises, a few dumbbell exercises thrown in.
3 aerobic workouts - either steady state runs or walking with up to 30kg on.
1 mountain biking ride - tend to treat this as a long intervals session. say about 2 1/2 hours
Weekends.. either TA training at the moment which involves being constantly on the go all day and at least 2 specific phys sessions within that.

I'm not really sure you need any of it with that selection of training if your diet is good.

What are you most hoping to achieve over the next 3 months? i.e. losing bodyfat, gaining muscle, increasing endurance etc...

Ok, to start.....

Whey protein: To be had whenever you require extra protein in the diet. Whey is fast acting, and is particularly beneficial pre and post-workout. It can added into your day anywhere though, you can cook with it, and just to supplement extra daily protein requirements. You can slow the digestion of whey by adding a source of fat to it.....eg: peanut butter.

Oats: What can I say? Its oatmeal. Its a blank canvas, you can do anything with them, sweet or savoury. Filling with plenty of fibre.

Creatine Monohydrate: A strength supplement primarily, that also encourages muscle fullness through an osmotic effect. It improves strength and force production. Aids in the muscles ability to recharge its ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) , which is the fuel muscles use for short burst of activity....sprinting, weight lifting etc. Not so much for endurance athletes. Despite what some will claim, this is the ONLY form of creatine that is scientifically proven to work, forget all the other forms (ethyl ester....kre-akylan etc), monohydrate is the original and best, can be bought in bulk and is reasonably priced.

Multi-Vit: Daily maintenance of overall health. Mainly for insurance, to cover all the bases. You're diet should be varied enough though to get a good spread of micro-nutrients.

Omega 3s: Again, daily maintenance of overall health. Have been shown to have a wide range of beneficial effects, cognitive ability, anti-inflammatory, heart health etc. Take them.

Zinc and Mag: If your multi-vitamin is potent enough and your diet is varied, these shouldnt be overly necessary.....you should shoot for at least 15mg of Zinc daily though.

Taurine: Big ingredient in Red Bull.....more for mental focus and alertness rather than anything else, quite closely related to Theanine in that respect.I would consider using it pre-workout for a little more drive and focus. Again though, not necessary. Far better things to spend your money on...if at all......

Thermopure: I assume is a thermogenic aid of some kind. Not necessary. If you are trying to lean out this should be achieved with diet. If your diet is not one that promotes leanness then forget it. These should be used only to shift the last of the really stubborn fat deposits, or by competitive bodybuilders, whose diets are already dialled in. Definitely not necessary for you.

Again, what are your goals?
