Not myself but was thinking today about emergency vehicle drivers.
While driving home from work I could hear the siren of an ambulance car but it was a good 1-2mins before it came up behind me, which got me thinking about how loud the siren would be inside the vehicle, anyone on here drive an emergency vehicle? if so, do you wear earplugs or is your vehicle cabin very well soundproofed?

The hearing aid I wear constantly monitors ambient sound levels and if a sudden spike is detected, it automatically powers down the amplifier in order to protect (what remains of!) my hearing.

Sirens, fire alarms etc are very good at doing this!

Doesn't answer your question, but thought it was topical smile

It's not that loud inside the cabin so I assume it's well soundproofed.
