Flu...hot and cold...meh meh

Felt crap on and off since monday night (hardly slept monday as i had a fever) think i've got a dose of the lurgi...Whats the best way to deal with cold shivers/hot sweats?

Just resting up atm taking paracetamol and drinking lots of water... Anything else i can do? rally want to be back with it by friday night as i've got a longstanding engagement

P.s. is it starve a flu, feed a cold or the other way round? or is it bks either way?

Pretty sure it's feed a cold, starve a fever - no idea if it has any basis in fact though. New Scientist.
