Trained at the Leisure Centre gym tonight. A number of female new starters wandered in wearing gym gear and carrying phones. There were also groups of young men monopolising the benches and comparing things In their handbags. Very little real exercise going on.
EFA - I see this occasionally in my gym!
I think it works better your way biggrin

Well being full hydrated is best for the body to operate at optimum, and a lot of people are not hydrated enough, she may have got this from an article?

This kind of stuff may turn out to be correct in part. We just don’t yet fully understand the mechanism(s) at play.

One study showed that eating 12 olives per day had a very significant effect on body fat levels. Why? No real idea.

You'd be sick of Martinis by Wednesday though, right?

You’d be too ripped by then. Each Martini decreases your body fat by 0.2%. That’s why alcoholics are often skinny.

Dude last night was by the mirror doing his hair, and boring story short; dude does his hair before he goes out for a work-out.

Gym attire - muscle man vest but no muscles, baggy shorts and socks pulled up as high as possible.

My gym fail this week - wearing baggy shorts (normally wear mma/thai shorts) and doing pilates and some other courses, getting into some positions the shorts ride up (wear UA second skin boxers luckily) but makes it look like youve got a raging boner as your surrounded by loads of ladies

Uh-huh. If you say so. Be careful you don't get chucked out by staff James that sort of behaviour is generally frowned upon.

Pilates is rock hard if done correctly.....pun intended bit still a true statement.

I get lots of my patients doing simple Pilates stuff to help with various foot and ankle maladies.

My current gripe.

Folk banging on about the CrossFit open and all the gobstes encouraging everyone to take part, leave your ego at the door, it's for everyone of all abilities. While you can see them eyeing up their peers lesser bar weights and inability do execute certain movements with glee.

And Instagram wkers selling you some movement system that will make you amazing
Always demonstrated by someone with a) Hollywood good looks and b) hypermobility so any and all movements are a piece of piss.

Come back when you're old and crippled with arthritis and show me your perfect squat form then you tosser.

I wish it was but the size of my legs makes it look like an acorn nut

Plus the type of guy who is on the road to recovery and the type that likes gym bunnies.

Not all of us want to stare at other men as they work out and admire their gainz

People who use the one and only sit-up bench for random other stuff - platform for dumbell rows, decline forehead smashers, random piece of equipment to hang onto while doing curls. Or setting up camp to do unrelated exercise such as dumbell curls while standing 6 inches away from the sit-up bench.

Out of interest what makes MMA/Thai shorts better than "baggy" shorts? Is it just to advertise that you do MMA/Thai?
