D aspartic I want to try as it's cheap and people rave about it for increase in test
L glutamine is also raved about?
I don't think my diet contains them and I don't plan on changing it as it's expensive enough as is smile
It's just one type of sugar, any is good. Cake is the builder's best friend.

D-aspartic acid does work noticably well in my opinion, it brought me out in quite a few spots and made my skin go oily as well as an increase in sex drive, also it's cheap and you only use it for a couple of weeks at a time.

Most supplements are a waste of time imo, I suppose if your going to spend vast sums of money on them you might aswell save some money and go straight for the steroids, at least they're proven to work and I wouldn't be suprised if they did less damage than some of the off the shelf supplements.
I would but plan to stay natural smile

What are nice low-carb protein bars out there free from artificial sweeteners?

http://www.questproteinbar.com/
Hmm, Quest might be it.
Has erythritol, which is derived from stevia.

edit, seems they have 100% natural line, and a second 95% natural line that uses sucrolose.

What does everyone use for pre-workout supplements?

I used to used Jack3d which for me seemed to work although I did end up going over the recommended dose, Looking on MP I've seen these two but not sure as the first one the reviews aren't to cracking

http://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/pulse-v4...

http://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/exceed/1...

Does any one have any experience of using either of these? Or recommend anything else?

Rage seems to be the new jack3d at the moment but I haven't tried it. Apparently the main igredients are beta alanine and lots of caffeine. IMO I would buy caffeine tabs and anything else that provides energy as that's all they are at the end of the day

Cheers smiffy thought as much when I was looking, just noticed some other pre-workout supplements boasted other advantage i.e. creatine and such so wasn't really sure if there was any benefit to them over other supplements.

Will check the caffeine tabs out, but will most likely be down to my diet that I'm lacking energy!

DS craze is ok but can't take it and expect to sleep within 4/5 hours even with ZMA

Muscle Marinade is ok but not as strong as Craze

Sci fit Xtend is pretty good even thought it is more intra workout drink

A cup or two of properly strong coffee does the job for me, pre-workout.

Might taste like supermarket brand angel delight, the proper stuff has a ton of sugar in though which makes a big difference.
