Good luck
Have just ordered this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00NGQTMOK/ref=pe_38572...
I note in my Arnold book that he used it for Triceps Rope Press Downs, too, so I figured it was worth a punt...
Got cocky and went for 160kg and missed it
Not an awful squat seqssion today but didn't get the PB I was going for.
1 x 2 at 180kg
1 x 2 at 190kg
1 x 2 at 200kg
1 x 1 at 210kg
1 x 1 at 222kg - failed
Was hard from the start tbh so it was always going to be a struggle to hit a PB.
Pump high bar squats
3 x 6 ar 160kg
Split squats
Up to 6s at 100kg (taking it easy, first single leg knee focused movement I've done since knee injury)
Power cleans
3s up to 100kg
1 x 2 at 180kg
1 x 2 at 190kg
1 x 2 at 200kg
1 x 1 at 210kg
1 x 1 at 222kg - failed

Hello all - haven't been posting much in here lately, still training very hard, just got out the habit of posting on PH. Just a a read through the last couple of pages, good to see everyone is training well!
PB'd all three lifts in the last month, getting ready for the YNE Comp in May. Still getting knee pain (started in frickin October!) despite physio/painkillers I'm still getting trouble with it, so going to attempt to get an MRI to have a look at what is really going on.

Felt st on Wednesday but I needed to Deadlift.
Pushed through and hit a 260kg PB. Happy and I think I've got more in me.

Haha - "BALD" is from my surname (Baldwin)
st session today. Really unhappy.
Pulled 260kg for 1 last week for a PB, Pulled 250kg for 3 the week before for a PB. 5s today and my forearms are screwed from one arm rows yesterday, and holding onto the bar is silly hard, so I strap up and I don't really get on well with them because it takes too long getting set up. So I use them for 5s up to 230kg and I'm a but unhappy with them, so for my set at 240kg I go strapless - Pull three st reps, where the bar is barely staying in my finger tips. bks. strap up for a 245kg 5 rep attempt. Set up takes 10x longer than I want, pull it once and it was hard so I know I'm not getting 5 so I throw in the towel. This kind of thing will upset me until I deadlift again! gotta wait a week!

Yesterday's Squat Session...
Squats
1 x 3 at 180kg
1 x 3 at 190kg
1 x 3 at 200kg
1 x 3 at 207kg (PB I think)
1 x 3 at 212kg (Defo a PB)
My Sticking point on my squat is about 10 inches from the bottom of my squat so...
Paused at the sticking point pause squats (Overload at the specific angle)
2 x 4 at 150kg
1 x 4 at 160kg
Front Loaded Split Squats (Training the quads specifically as quad driven knee extention is where I fail)
2 x 5 e/l at 100kg
1 x 5 e/l at 110kg
Hip Thrusts (Glute spoecific training - Glutes most active at the bottom of the squat, increased glute strength means faster drive at the bottom, and therefore less likely to stall at my sitcking point)
1 x 6 at 170kg
1 x 6 at 180kg
1 x 6 at 190kg

I haven't been posting much lately, but still working as hard as ever. I've just moved house so it's all been a bit hectic the last few weeks.
Training has been a bit st the last few weeks too, but tapering should still take me up to the 29th well when it's the Yorkshire North-East powerlifting comp. Got one heavy DL session, on heavy squat, and 2 heavy bench sessions left. Then it's openers only, then comp. Looking forward to it.

Cool, was just curious:-)
Out of curiosity again, how would you feel about lifting the same weight sans belt?
Asking because after being anti-assistance for years, I'm now giving serious consideration to using a belt.
Still on the fence though!
I reckon I'd want to knock a few kg off belt less. You get very used to it and feel naked without it!Out of curiosity again, how would you feel about lifting the same weight sans belt?
