Yorkshire and North East Powerlifting Comp yesterday.
Came 2nd (93kg) with a 612.5kg total. A comp total PB so happy with that, but should have got a bit more really - not that I'd have placed any better as the winner got 670kg ish!
Squatted 217kg - wanted to go for 222.5kg on my third, but took too long to get my lifting slip in and they only let me go up by the automatic 2.5kg increase over the previous lift.
Benched 145kg - went for a 152.5kg PB on the third which I didn't get
DL 250kg - Should have got my 260kg final lift, but pulled it too fast into my legs on the floor and was off balance as I drove up and was never going to get it. Pretty annoyed at myself buy hey ho.

Yeah definitely. Gives you purpose to your training, whether it's bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, sport, whatever I think everyone should aim to compete at something.Next one, All English. Can't wait.

Squat x 6 at 200kg
squat x 3 at 215kg (might have got 217 actually, can't remember)
DL x 6 at 230kg at 230kg
DL x 3 at 250kg (matched PB, done it before but feel like I've got more in me for 3)
Paused bench x 3 at 140kg (again can't remember if I got 145kg yet - need to post more often!)
Got the all england in a few weeks, but not really tapering for it as I'm focusing on British in October

The volume plus the weight is starting to get hard to handle. That combined with feeling a little under the weather meant I cut today's short, halving my deadlift volume and cutting out accessory work. One more week with +5kg then the volume drops with an increased load... it will be a welcome change!

Came 3rd in a Yorkshire and Northe East Winter Open powerlifting comp yesterday. Best total I've got in comp, which I'm happy with as I took the squat really easy as I'm coming back from injury.

190kg F (stumbled forward and got 3 reds - first time I've done heavy singles since august. Not an inspiring start!)

210kg - easiest of the lot!

157kg F - thought it was going to be easy! it wasn't!
Deadlift

250kg
260kg - second time I've lifted this and it felt easy, especially happy as the heaviest I've lifted since august is 240kg and I've only done it once
