I like the lever type leg press. I regularly see people load up the leg press with silly weight, and then do some quarter/semi-squat. They don't even get near parallel.
No, I didn't want to let him dig himself further into the hole. TheJimi said:
I had some idiot trying to convince me he could bench 180kg, when it was blatantly obvious he was nowhere close. I gave him the
opportunity to climb out the hole by saying "kg and not pounds?" but no, he insisted it was KG.
Sure, I know guys sometimes tend to exaggerate numbers a bit, but seriously, this guy's 1RM is around the 110kg mark. (sigh)
So you definitely made him show you then?opportunity to climb out the hole by saying "kg and not pounds?" but no, he insisted it was KG.

Well the plates I bought for my plate loadable dumbbells are about 1-2mm to big!!!!
Had a bench session instead taking it easy as I normally pick up an injury. Managed 2x 150kg with more in the tank but played safe
Looks like dumbbell work is carrying over as I haven't benched in about 2 months.

Well after just over 3 months I've pretty much hit my targets.
Starting off end of December at 13st and a 37" waist, I've just crept under both 11st7lbs and a 33" waist. Nicely defined four pack with still a little bit of fat and/or loose skin covering up the last third, annoyingly, but will hopefully gradually dissolve over the next couple of months!
Well happy. I'm getting quite lean, and dare I say reasonably 'ripped' (think Halb and his detest of all things Mens Health cover related )
Annoyed by my lazy TVA muscle though! Makes me look like I have a bigger belly than I now do.

159kg/25stone 25.46% bodyfat. I'm quite happy with that. Hopefully I'll have sub 20% by end of year at this rate!
That's very impressive actually. Lose 25kg of the flab and you'd be a ripped monster!pilchardthecat said:
Smiffy - did you get bodpod tested? calipers get less reliable over about 20% because of the extra visceral fat, and electrical impedance testing is wildly inaccurate for everyone all the time
7 point caliper test and a measurement test which were about 1.5% between them. I'll have to try a bodpod test in comparison
