The last section of my middle finger often goes white and cold, with minimal feeling for half an hour or so.

hot weather, cold weather, doesnt seem to matter, once every few days it will happen.

whats wrong with my finger!?

It looks pretty much the same as raynauds, but not quite so far down the finger, and only my right middle finger!

Maybe i should see the doc to get it checked out?

Only if you want to live and see your kids grow up.

Why are 'people' so averse to seeing their GP or hospital?

I don't know!

For me, its i dont want to bother the GP with my 'minor' problem, or 'it'll clear, it's nothing' thinking.

Mind you for me, when i broke my finger, i didnt get it looked at either,
same as when i cut the tip off my finger!
Had an ingrown toenail once, that started pussing, and flesh started oozing out, ended up just cutting the flesh off with a penkinfe every couple of weeks for about 3 months!!

so maybe i just dont want to go to the hospital!!
been over 10 years since ive been to the GP, thats bad isnt it!

Heres a Raynauds sufferer's take on symptoms: http://www.mobilityhut.co.uk/blog/raynauds/

Does it fit with what you are experiencing?

It would certainly be more visually appealing than off-white.
