Ok so update from me, I did the local half marathon last weekend and managed a time of 2:09:16. I'm really happy with that as the previous half marathon a year before was 2:16:30. I did hardly any training just a 3k run here and there but really enjoyed it.
My current weight from this morning is 85.3kg, I'm on holiday next week so I've been eating a lot of salad and super healthy stuff for the last couple of weeks to try and get this beach/dad body looking better!

Got the missus to take a photo from the back, be gentle, know I still have still have a few pounds to lose but was surprised at the shape, you never see your own back, well only in a pair of mirrors or you have had a very bad accident if you can

You can definitely see the V shape coming! What back exercises are you doing at the moment?[/URL]

72.3 kg on Sunday, but I don't think it counts as it was after a hot, long run. I was 74.3 a couple of hours earlier, so I suspect I was a tad dehydrated!
So, still hovering around 74 kg. Having an easy exercise week, so a chance to focus on food and cut some excess off as I don't need to eat to refuel.

Going to get onboard with you all on this.
New promotion, less time to organise lunch less focus in the gym.
I'm still fairly active cycling around 50miles recreation over weekends, and swimming in the mornings before work.
However can't outrun a bad diet.
I like cooking, I like my food so need focus on my portion sizes and reduce the take aways when I don't feel have time to cook.
Christmas pudding hasn't left me this year, might be an age thing mid 40's do that I guess.
Currently at 90Kg, so near enough 200lbs at 5'11'' or so.
The big shock was to realise that is 14stone in old money near enough, seems a bit hefty.
So back to myFitnessPal, record and monitor steer clear of the office crisps and vending machines and reduce to a once a week curry no other take outs.
Will keep tabs and check back a new slimmer me,

Belated update! Sorry I've not posted a little more in the past 2 weeks.
No big fancy news of a massive loss I'm afraid, had a couple of weekends away and I don't restrict myself too much when on holiday. Weight crept back up to 97.6, now back down to 96.2 this morning. Big big effort this week as I have a BJJ comp on Friday and I MUST weigh in under 100.5kg (including my Gi which weighs 2.5kg) so I have to be super careful not to retain fluid (salty foods) or bloat up.
Easiest way for me to do this is low-carb (aiming for under 30g per day) combined with a 1500-1700 calorie target and increased gym cardio.
Glad to see everyone else is still checking in, I'm secretly hoping this week will be a catalyst for further loss down towards 90kg!

Feel a bit crap at the moment, think its the result of eating crap to be honest.
Likewise, at the risk of sounding like a born-again ex smoker, since I've been phat fighting I really feel it when I eat badly or drink alcohol. Literally overnight I feel Wobblier in the muffin top.Anyway, I'm up and down like a tarts knickers as you'll see when I put the chart up later in the week.

Literally overnight I feel Wobblier in the muffin top.I think why weight goes back on is going back to old habits and not keeping it in check, hence weighing myself most days, last week I saw my weight go from 14.7 to 14.12, I dont think I actually put on 5 pounds but some of that will be fat, so its easy to see how it goes back if you dont keep an eye on things, it is now just part of my routine, would rather see a couple of pounds go on and then deal with that than leave it and it is two stone, that is just demoralizing.
Let myself slip a little,
Life over the past week has been a little crazy, trying to catch back up on work, get over jet lag whilst spending every minute revising for a big exam at the beginning of June.
Only had time to get to they gym for a couple of lunch time sessions. As expected the scales in Japan were telling lies, I didn't get down as low as they were saying (or if they did I was substantially heavier at home!)
So I'm now sat at broadly the same weight as I was when I landed: :119.5kg's
Down over 4kg's but not quick enough! Still eating well though and restricting my carb's etc.
Needless to say, when this exam is over I'll be hitting it hard!

Keep pushing
Starting to notice a definite loss of size now but feeling much better in myself and my clothes. Long term I'm hoping to hit 14st 4lb (ish), maintain over the summer / autumn then look to slowly increase my weight over the winter when building muscle before cutting back down again.
In an ideal world I wouldn't need the bulk period but I don't have enough underlying muscle / not prepared to hit the gear in order to do so!

I am doing quite a bit of weight training currently so that may have an impact on weight loss, or all the beer I drink at the weekend of course... I think booking a holiday and it getting imminent will motivate me to drop another few pounds, so need to get it booked.Starting to notice a definite loss of size now but feeling much better in myself and my clothes. well, down 10.3kg since christmas, reckon I've got another 8kg to go net, accounting for fat loss and muscle growth. Vague definition starting to show, and the very slight hint of a six pack is starting to appear under the belly fat (i've always been one of those sods that sort of had a 6 pack even when there was a little weight on, though its been hidden for 15 years now...). The trainer reckons at my current progression it will be back in a month....
Been a crappy few months/weeks with a split from the fiancee which has actually been handy since it knocked my appetite out the window and only the gym has kept me that sane. Eating healthy with deliveries from fresh fitness food 3 times a week, 2x personal training sessions a week, and 3-4 times myself. Sometimes I find I have so much energy I do weights in the morning and am back for a bit of CV in the evening. Looking back at my photos over the years I can't believe how I let myself slide, and it feels damn good getting into shape again. I'm already noticing a lot of extra attention so the next few kg should be fun!
Good luck to everyone out there, it takes some sacrifices which believe me are easier when your time is your own, but its worth it!
